Trace SOFT is a user friendly print and verify blood transfusion system
Trace SOFT creates printable data for Trace SAFE blood bag tags.
At the time of print a record is created in its internal database.
Once received back into the lab the data is scanned and compared to the database, including the fate of the blood.
Trace SOFT will confirm back to the host software the fate of blood as well produce exception reports for non-returned or non-confirmed Trace SAFE cards.
Trace SOFT is available in 2 versions:
• Trace SOFT Lab: for use within Blood Banks only
• Trace SOFT Ward: for use on hospital wards or at point of transfusion

Trans SAFE is a barcode verification unit to improve and simplify the checking procedure. It will not only reduce errors but also improve recording of transfusion and aid compliance with the recent EU Directive on blood safety and quality.
Trans SAFE blood transfusion barcode verifier is a project supported by the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA). A hospital may require a Trans SAFE unit per ward or shared ward as a starter package. In addition they will require a thermal printer for Trace SAFE Tags and label option. Coupled with Patient Wristband software and specialist barcode wristband labels the whole package addresses all the requirements associated with positive patient ID and patient safety.
Trace Safe BTV is a modular flexible solution to not only meet the EU Directive concerning traceability but to enhance and improve patient safety. It is a cost effective way of addressing all the aspects of bedside checking, positive patient ID through barcode verification and management of data through exception reports on the fate of units.
